The SC Supreme Court recently overruled State v. Wallace in its analysis of Rule 404(b) and common scheme or plan. Click here for a post on it.
But Wallace had recently taken a strong blow two years ago in State v. King. In a footnote in King, Justice James explained that Wallace misstated the standard for 403:
