Experiential vs. Scientific Expert Testimony (federal court)

In a recent unpublished opinion, the Fourth Circuit explains the difference between "experiential" and "scientific" based expert testimony. The trial court will require two different standards when deciding whether to admit the testimony or not:

In SC state court, there isn't a set test for nonscientific expert testimony:
